A Fortune 50 Global company develops unique search appliances for distribution to global data centers for major National and International clients. Delivery requires engineered crating solution, 24 hour transit monitoring, pre-booked “White Glove” delivery with exact time requirements.

Solution 1 

Griffin is called to establish a process for “one stop” solution, including packing crew, air ride pickup, and captured transit system.  Calls made to end clients in advance of pack, to setup delivery plan on a Global scale, including customs processing, document preparation, and clearance activity globally.  Griffin orchestrates flawless system of “through flow” from our client, to their client including an after service survey to measure quality.  Tracking is sent to the team electronically and automatically on each step of the cycle, including strategic monthly results.

Opportunity 2 

Global Contract Manufacturer for Internet Technology contracts Griffin to orchestrate movement of a production line including 35 high value test units. Project is from Bangkok, Thailand to Penang, Malaysia.  Griffin Conducts site survey.

Solution 2

Griffin completes site survey, develops crating specifications, works with customs for pre setup, and establishes advance aircraft space. Project is implemented over 4 days with simultaneous transport to airport. Arrival and loading on 4 open top trailers at Penang due to height.  Plant is unable to accept equipment for logistics reasons, and due to rain, Griffin has to find immediate inside warehouse space to protect the cargo. Space is secured, and all equipment delivered in perfect condition to the engineering team 0700 next day.

Opportunity 3

Global Electronics Manufacturer requires 20 foot high-cube “Burn-in” Chambers to be repositioned from Guadalajara Mexico, to Shanghai, China within specified timetable.

Solution 3

Griffin is called to engage in the process and conduct all aspects of the project.

Immediate interface with the customs resources in Shanghai, to expedite the Import license procedure including itemized list of equipment reviewed with Mexico, China end user, and China customs.  Approval granted, all chambers enclosed with exacting specifications.  All equipment meets prescheduled flight, and customs pre clearance in advance of arrival completed to improve arrival to delivery time.    All equipment delivered perfectly.

Opportunity 4

Global Computer Manufacturer requires “Wafer Prober System” to be repositioned from Thailand to Penang on a strict timetable.  System is multifaceted section system, calling for exact crating production by a schematic.

Solution 4

Griffin is called to provide “Foreign to Foreign” operation for equipment movement.  On site survey is conducted to pre-measure equipment, building access, and egress.  Crating is produced and on site packing handled with Griffin overseeing the process.  Space is pre-booked, and all sectioned equipment is delivered to the air carrier for departure.  All equipment arrives on schedule and with preclearance delivers on time.

Opportunity 5

Major electronics manufacturer has urgent need to send 8 large test chambers to their facility in Thailand from the USA and requires delivery over a global Holiday.

Solution 5  

Griffin becomes directly involved by engineering tailored crating and personally oversees the packing, shipment preparation, and handoff to air carrier.  While in transit, Griffin arranges to have overseas customs representative on site at time of delivery to clear customs on the Holiday surpassing the delivery expectation of the client!

Opportunity 6

National equipment manufacturer deploys plan to relocate entire production line from the West Coast to Texas, and must complete the project without interruption to a rigid production schedule.

Solution 6

Griffin is called to develop a plan for coordinating transportation as the production line is dismantled and ensure all components are systematically labeled, and loaded for “exact” off-loading at the new production facility.  Griffin Specialized Transportation coordinates the arrival / departure of a dedicated Air Ride fleet and skilled staff to effortlessly meet the clients rigid demands.
