Russ has been active in the logistics industry for nearly thirty years, beginning his career in the domestic trucking industry where he held various positions from cargo handling to dispatch, sales, and eventually senior management. Looking to expand his depth of industry knowledge, he moved into the international freight forwarding and customs brokerage industry where he held various sales, operations, and management positions.

He left to take a position as Global Logistics Manager with a large international firm where he was responsible for a $30 million annual transportation budget. Responsibilities included management of global logistics including US domestic truck and rail, international air & ocean, and global warehousing & distribution. He later returned to the service side of the industry, and in 2001 purchased Griffin.

As President of Griffin Global Logistics, he has led the company's growth and expansion of services from a small local customs broker to Global Supply Chain Solutions provider. Griffin offers a complete menu of Logistics and Supply Chain Solutions that includes domestic rail and truck transportation, warehousing and distribution, specialized high value & over-sized project cargo, foreign trade zone services, and foreign sourcing. Russ has driven Griffin to maintain excellence in three core areas- Service, Technology and Industry Expertise. While maintaining its Corporate Headquarters in Northern Nevada the company has expanded its reach to include facilities in the San Francisco Bay area and the Los Angeles/Southern California market, as well as developing a very strong network of partners around the globe.
